Common Roots Coffee Packaging
I developed a distinct identity for Common Roots Coffee Company, centered around hand-drawn botanical illustration and flexible packaging that extended across whole bean coffee, cold brew, coffee-infused beers, and café applications.

CUSTOM ILLUSTRATION
The identity began with a hand-drawn coffee plant illustration, creating an organic visual language that could adapt across the packaging system.
Drawing the Visual Language
WHOLE BEAN COFFEE
A shared illustration and layout unifies the coffee line, while bold color-coded labels distinguish blends and single origins. The system was designed to accommodate changing varieties without sacrificing recognition on shelf.
A Flexible System
COFFEE BRAND EXTENSIONS
The coffee identity expanded beyond whole bean packaging into cold brew and coffee-infused products, carrying the botanical visual language across new formats while maintaining a clear connection to the original brand.
Beyond the Bag
BRAND APPLICATIONS
The coffee identity carried into the café experience through merchandise, menus, mugs, stickers, and other touchpoints, creating a cohesive presence beyond the product itself.
